Lucy R. Lippard, author of Stuff: Instead of a Memoir, has an exhibit at The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. They are presenting From the Center: Looking at Lucy Lippard, a major exhibition exploring the lasting influence of writer, critic, curator, and activist Lucy R. Lippard on contemporary art. Spanning three floors, the exhibition draws primarily from the MCA Collection to examine themes central to Lippard’s six-decade career, including feminism, Conceptual art, activism, and the relationship between art and politics. Featuring artists she championed alongside later generations inspired by her work, From the Center celebrates Lippard’s enduring impact on contemporary artistic practice.

August 27-30, 2026 – Bill McKibben to speak at the 2026 Greenbelt Festival in Northamptonshire, England

Writer and environmentalist Bill McKibben, essayist in Robert Shetterly’s Portraits of Earth Justice, will remotely join a lineup of featured guests for a second time at the 2026 annual festival hosted by English-based activist organization Greenbelt.
