Lucy R. Lippard author of Stuff: Instead of a Memoir, will open a new exhibition called “Notes from the Radical Whirlwind” at the New Mexico Museum of Art, Vladem Contemporary. The exhibition, featuring a selection of artworks, artist’s books, posters, political button and activist ephemera, traces Lippard’s prolific career and contributions to the art world.

March 21, 2026 – Edvige Giunta to hold virtual memoir writing workshop and reading with The Poetry Center at Passaic County Community College

As part of their Distinguished Poets Reading Series, The Poetry Center at PCCC, is hosting Edvige Giunta, editor of Talking To the Girls: Intimate and Political Essays on the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire for a virtual memoir workshop.
The workshop will be held on Zoom from 1:00-2:30PM ET followed by a memoir reading from 2:30-3:00PM ET. Registration for the workshop is required along with a $20 fee.

Robin Wall Kimmerer, essay contributor to Robert Shetterly’s Portraits of Earth Justice, will give a lecture at University of Portland as part of their Schoenfeldt Distinguished Writers Program.
The lecture will be followed by a book signing. The event will go from 7:30-8:30PM PT and is free and open to the public, no RSVP or ticket needed.

March 26, 2026 – Story Exchange Workshop with Americans Who Tell The Truth & Narrative 4

Americans Who Tell The Truth is partnering with Narrative 4, a nonprofit whose mission is to build a compassionate community through storytelling.
In this story exchange, participants will share stories inspired by an Americans Who Tell The Truth portrait done by Robert Shetterly, and take turns sharing their assigned partners story in the first-person. Some of Robert Shetterly’s portraits are collected in his Americans Who Tell The Truth book series.
The workshop will be held online on Thursday, March 26th from 6:00-9:00PM ET, followed by a Facilitator Training on March 31st from 6:00-9:00PM ET. Tickets can be bought here.
