Lance Jay Brown FAIA, DPACSA, is an architect, editor, urban designer and educator. He is the principal of Lance Jay Brown Architecture + Urban Design in New York City and was the 2014 President of the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, where he led the Civic Vision, Civic Spirit theme. Brown has also served as Assistant Director at the Design Arts Program of the National Endowment of the Arts.
In 2007, Lance was the recipient of the AIA/ACSA Topaz Medallion for Excellence in Architectural Education. He holds two Masters from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and was a Fulbright Fellow in Paris. He was born in Brooklyn and continues to live in New York.
