Keith Knight

 

Portrait of Keith KnightKeith Knight (1966–) is a cartoonist, educator, and activist. He is the creator of The K Chronicles and (th)ink comic strips, and is influenced by contemporary issues and popular culture,  edge, urgency, human, satire, and politics. 

Knight illustrated the transformative training manual for teens, Beginner’s Guide to Community Based Arts (New Village Press, 2017), written with Mat Schwarzman. His work has appeared in national and international publications, including The Washington Post, The New Yorker, San Francisco Chronicles, and L.A. Weekly, and his original comic strip art is shown in museums and galleries worldwide. Knight has published four collections of The K Chronicles, Are We Feeling Safer Yet (Top Shelf Productions, 2007); and Red, White, Black & Blue: a (th)ink anthology (Manic D Press, 2004). 

Keith Knight’s life and work is the subject of the 2020 television series Woke on Hulu. He is co-creator, writer, and executive producer for the show. Knight lives in North Carolina.
